Will Process Servers and Other County Employees Get New Cars
PARKERSBURG, WV – Wood County Sheriff Jeff Sandy is seeking cash to replace some older vehicles. He wants to buy eight new cars at a price of $200,000 but Commissioner Steve Gainer is stating that the county needs to cut back spending. Four of the vehicles are needed for process service, according to the sheriff, while one is needed for the canine unit and two are needed for patrol. The sheriff wants to buy four Ford Escape hybrid vehicles for Wood County, West Virginia process servers but Gainer questioned why cruisers cannot be used for process servers. Sandy argued that some of the terrains where process servers must go is rough and does not allow for the use of cruisers, but Gainer countered that many private process servers use regular vehicles in their jobs rather than four-wheel drive cars. No decision has yet been made about the funding and cars.

STOCKTON, CA – DrePhawn McKinney, a California process server, who works with McKinney & McKinney Investigations, recently told an interviewer that he aims for a casual but professional image. He noted that since he is self-employed he has more flexibility. He always wears a blue bracelet that commemorates fallen officers.

Process Server Arrested for Soliciting Sexual Favors
EL PASO, TX – According to authorities, Texas process server Sergio Reyes allegedly tried to procure sexual services for himself and others from women trying to file for divorce. After a month-long investigation of Reyes’ actions at the El Paso County Courthouse, police arrested the man.

Kanye West Served in an Unusual Fashion
LOS ANGELES, CA – The process server who was tasked with serving Kanye West a deposition subpoena from Kris Humphries has an unusual story to tell. According to the process server, the subpoena was in a Nordstrom box but when he tried to serve West, Kim Kardashian answered the door. The process server handed the box to Kardashian after West did not show up to be served personally. Humphries’ lawyer Marshall Waller stated that West denies getting the subpoena and an attempt will probably be made to serve West publicly.
