Arizona Association Pushes for Multiple Legislation Changes for Certified Process Servers

The Arizona Association of Certified Process Servers (AACPS) is currently pushing for multiple legislation changes for certified process servers working within their state. The legislation focuses on granting process servers access to motor vehicle records and making them exempt from trespassing. The additional proposed legislation would provide them with further protection from assault and the potential for an assault to be committed.

Proposed Motor Vehicle Division Legislation
The primary focus of the AACPS will be to push legislation forward that will grant process servers access to obtain motor vehicle records in order to be used in locates.
Proposed Trespassing Legislation
The trespassing legislation would allow certified process servers to remain upon property for the purpose of effectuating service of process.
Proposed Assault Legislation
The assault legislation would provide additional protection to process servers in the event of an assault, in hopes of working as a deterrent against assault of certified process servers by members of the public.
Proposed Records Legislation
The recording legislation is intended to provide additional protection for certified process servers by eliminating any possibility of a disgruntled individual locating the address of a process server through public record search, Internet search, or by conducting records search at a government office.
Proposed Assessor and Treasurer Legislation
This legislation is supplemental to the above goals of protecting certified process servers.
Proposed Voter Registration Legislation
This legislation is also supplemental to the above goals of protecting certified process servers.
Proposed Arizona Department of Transportation Legislation
This legislation is also supplemental to the above goals of protecting certified process servers.
