RiNo Den, ServeNow’s new office and meeting site, launched its first official event with the January PSACO meeting. Members braved the snowstorm to attend the event, which included a potluck dinner, and two great presentations.
PSACO’s president, Steve Glenn, a.k.a. Master Barbecuer, wowed those in attendance with his “fall off the bone” smoked chicken wings.
Steve discussed the 2014 agenda for the organization, which included the annual meeting on April 26th, continuing education and certification courses, the extension of the group to Colorado Springs, and working with the state around the upcoming mandatory private investigation licensing laws.
One attendee, Lori Simpson from Aces High, summed up her experience with the association like this: “Awesome, with lots of information.” She went on to say about the membership, “The first meeting I attended, I didn’t understand the benefits. I didn’t know anyone, I didn’t know if they were telling the truth or if it was just a bunch of politics. I didn’t see the need for me or my business. Now, it is a totally different experience, and I understand the focus and goals. It is so valuable for my business. I’m excited for all we have accomplished and what is to come!”
The evening focused on two presentations. Carolyn Leslie Newton, from Primerica, discussed the importance of retirement planning, especially for the self-employed, or small business owners. I have spoken with two attendees who have already made appointments with her, so, I guess the topic was informative, important, and overall beneficial!
“The event was filled with lots of valuable information for both experienced and inexperienced process servers”, said Steve Wilson of ASAP Services.

Moving forward, the association plans to hold its monthly meetings at ServeNow’s RiNo location on the fourth Thursday of every month.
Steve Glenn’s promise to PSACO’s members: “I’m going to make this membership valuable, through member benefits and added value.” He reiterated that everyone’s voice has meaning.
One last note, the association has adopted a charity, Tennyson Center for Children. 5% of all proceeds throughout the year will go to the charity.
Who says process servers don’t have heart?
Steve also put together a presentation on the benefits of membership, highlighting services and discounts available to members.
