Why You Need to Use Process Serving Software
Many law firms, especially those in the collections industry, are facing audits and need to vet their servers and vendors. Record keeping has been a bigger focus, and it’s important to be able to get your serve info to the client quickly. Disaster recovery is another big thing attorneys look at.
One thing to consider - if you were to get a call from a client that would double your work, would you be able to handle it? How? This is a key component of why you need to use software. Computers crash and servers crash, which is why it’s good to have your data stores in places where people take great care to ensure their servers are working and safe.
One of the standards in the ABA Model Rules is maintaining technological competence. 25 States have adopted ethical duty of technology competence for their association rules. Your clients are using more advanced technology, cloud computing, smartphones, etc. Some lawyers are even relying on artificial intelligence to run aspects of their practices.
Compliance Management System
Your clients may very well audit you for compliance, making sure you have a physical office, restricted access and security, a records management database, physical document storage, hiring, training, and disaster recovery plan, insurance, and fourth party vendors. You can learn more about compliance here: Impact of Compliance on Process Service Companies.
Client Demands Have Changed
Your clients want more done faster. They are more technologically adept and expect their process servers to be, too.
Stop Working Harder… Start Working Smarter
Using software can save time, whether you’re a solo guy who gets more time to spend with family, friends, and enjoying life, the solo go getter who wants to go after new business, or the entrepreneur who wants to focus on growing and selling.
Stop Wasting Time on Data Entry
Using software that utilizes hot keys, smart fields, autofill, and saves data can eliminate the need to enter data more than once.
Stop Printing Maps
Use a route planner that keeps a records of where you’re going and where you’ve been.
Stop Printing and Scanning Field Sheets
Cloud-based software in a mobile app or mobile interface lets you log your jobs from the field.
Stop Using Word
Custom affidavits are great, but not if you have to input all of the data on your own. Stop creating invoices, mailing invoices, and waiting on checks. Automate your invoices and use software that allows you to create invoices or allow your customers to pay by card.
Stop Spending Time on Status Calls
Use software that has automatic notifications and collaboration tools that eliminate the need for you to call and fill them in.
Stop Worrying About Compliance
Using a third-party software is smart risk management. This way you don’t have to worry about compliance.
