Foreclosure Lawsuits Generate Some Revenues for Marshals

HARTFORD, CT -- Even as the state lenders file fewer foreclosures, a few process servers who are also state marshals continue to do lucrative work, as the highest-paid process servers in Connecticut. State Marshal John T. Fiorillo, collected $1.35 million through his process service work in 2010, reports from the Office of State Ethics show. This means earnings of over $500,000 after expenses. In 2008, he made more than $1 million after expenses.
