In an effort to get the process server community more involved than with a normal webinar, ServeNow and ServeManager hosted the Nationwide Process Server Networking Conference. This virtual conference was the first of its kind and had over 350 registered to attend. April 28th, 2020 | 10 am MST
Panelists Jared Deahr of HSPS Legal Services, Bob Rusch of Windy City Process, and Justin Jeffries and Chad Jolly of ServeManager share their expertise on remote business tools for process servers.
One of the biggest ways businesses have changed during the pandemic has been the switch to remote business operations. The panelists discuss how this shift has changed their processes and workflows.
The most important thing to remember is this isn’t going to last forever, but we do need to protect ourselves now while we do our work.”
The use of tools, such as ServeManager, have played a huge role in the transition to remote work. According to the panelists, process servers need software that’s easy to learn how to use and enables you to interact with your clients and servers. As well as ServeManager and its collaboration tool, the panelists discuss other apps that keep your business running smoothly no matter where you’re working from, such as Slack and Dropbox.
Surviving COVID-19 Part 5
April 21st, 2020 | 10 am MST
Large Attorney Service Firm leaders Alex Martinez from First Legal, Ross Mallor from PM Legal, Keith McMaster from Firefly Legal, and Marty Kilmer from One Legal discuss how their businesses have been impacted by the pandemic, how their businesses are operating differently, and their predictions for the future of the industry.
For many, business operations look vastly different than usual. The panelists dive into the changes that they’ve had to make while adjusting to a lower work volume. One topic that they shared was the importance of remote work and allowing employees to work from home. For some, it was already something they were investing in before the pandemic hit. They also have focused on keeping their employees engaged and productive even with a lower amount of work. One solution for them has been cross-training them or having them take online training in order to learn new skills. But all of the panelists stressed continued marketing during this time. While it isn’t time to sell new services, it’s important to still get your name on the minds of your clients.
Law firms are scared just like we are… if you can position yourself as a trusted partner to them and someone they can rely on during this time, that goodwill you’re going to generate is going to pay dividends going forward.”
As important as it is to act to preserve your business during this time, it’s also important to plan how you will handle the potential influx of job post-pandemic. While the predictions for when the trials will end varied between the panelists, some going as far as April 2021, they all agreed that preparation is vital. Most of them are cross-training their staff and organizing their processes all to make sure their business is a well-oiled machine. They are also investing more time into other services like eFiling and eSignatures.
