Foreclosures Getting More Complicated

HOOD RIVER, OR -- Across the country, more homeowners are arguing that the foreclosure process is unfair – and are winning in court. Lenders are accused of using auto-signers rather than correctly serving debtors. In Oregon, one judge found that Wells Fargo could not prove they had the title to the home they were trying to evict, due to faulty paperwork. Option One Mortgage Corp. went out of business and sold the mortgage to American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc., and later sold the foreclosed home to Wells Fargo.
