WASHINGTON, DC -- A new amendment has been introduced to the Currency Exchange Rate Oversight Reform Act. The measure, introduced by Senators Christopher Coons (D-DE) and Herb Kohl (D-WI), is intended to protect US innovation and trade secrets. The amendment would allow more private parties to file civil actions in federal court in trade secret cases. The amendment also makes provisions for a national service of process in cases where multiple defendants in multiple states are involved.
