Higher Process Service Costs With Bankruptcy Cases

TAMPA, FL -- A Florida attorney with the Law Offices of Daniel C. Consuegra has told the media that new bankruptcy processes could delay foreclosures. According to the attorney, trustees have been writing up paperwork in order to sell properties with valid mortgage liens. Investors often buy the properties, even though in many cases there is no equity and no provisions to pay off the debt. The notice of sale, Consuegra alleges, is often not provided or is incorrect. As well, in some cases, the investors are associated with foreclosure defense organizations. The new process, Consuegra claims, leads to higher process service costs and bankruptcy delays.
